Start date:

Many people have been asking when season 5 will be starting, and to answer that question is very tough as there is many factors we have to wait on. Although if I had to guess, I would say the season will be starting sometime before the end of March. HOPEFULLY. The starting of this season depends on many things, some of which SSL members can help with.

Things you can help with:

- Getting more teams! Nobody wants a season with only 3 teams.
- Signing up for referee, or suggesting ideas to League Officials.

There are also many things the LOs need to do before the season can start.

Admins Reassessed:

A couple of days ago, the admins were completely wiped and are now being re-added one by one. This means that some people have lost admin, and may not be getting it back. Now, only certain people will get admin. These people can be summed up to people helping out the league, but theres a variety of ways they are helping. Admin worthy positions include:

1) League Officials

- Obviously League Officials have admin. Enough said.

2) Referees

- We are bringing back the referee system for season 5. This is how most of the admins are obtaining it. If you are interested in becoming a referee, click here.

3) Team LEADERS

- In the past, we have given admin to team co-captains as well as the leader of the team, untill now. Admin will only be given to the leader of a team.

4) League Promoters

- The league now has official promoters. These players are expected to try and bring new & upcoming players into the SSL servers, and get them envolved. This position is not collecting new members unless the current promoters are not getting the job done. To view the topic about League Promoters, click here.

5) Extra League Volunteer Positions

- There are 3 other positions that people will obtain admin in the server for. The positions are: Scripter (Fig / Panda), Website Moderator (Bugen / KansasCity), and Skinners / Designers (Spock). All of these positions require skill in the respective fields to sign up for them. (Means you wont be taught how to script / skin if you were to sign up)


New Rules for Season 5:

In the last LO meeting, a few new things were decided for season 5. If you do not understand these things, feel free to contact an LO and ask them about it.

1) MM2 Rule

- There will be an MM2 rule enforced by referees during matches for season 5. This means you do not talk in all-chat unless you are complementing the other team or pointing out a error in the stats to the referee.

2) Rules

- There will be many rule updates in the near future. The LOs are going to go over all the rules, and make sure they are up to date, and still agreed on.

3) New Forums

- Bazooka Joe has thought of the idea of having a Scrim Forum. This forum will be used to acquire the server for matches / practices / scrugs. The only rule that applies for requesting the server, is you must post 24 hours in advance of when you want the server.

- Panda has made a forum to post League Announcements to the league. This forum will keep all news organized and easy to find / read for those who do not like searching forums. I suggest all members in the league check this forum if it has a new post!
